True Stories from the Black Eagle Inn

Ten Short Stories

At the end of 2019, a writers’ competition was announced. We expected short stories based on true events between 1885 and 1917. Writers were supplied with old newspaper articles about interesting events at the Black Eagle Inn. The best 10 stories can be read in this illustrated  publication in Hungarian.

The Centuries of the Black Eagle Inn and Coffeehouse

A publication in Hungarian with numerous illustrations and a summarization in German and English. It enables an insight into the history, and at the same time, it sketches a possible future of the building. The individual articles have been compiled by an historian, an archaeologist, an art historian and an architect.
The photographs taken on behalf of the Black Eagle Society are lyrical documents of decay.
The records and illustrations inform and encourage the reader to further thinking.
The history of the building is being presented in an autonomous book for the first time.

Recommended for locals of Székesfehérvár interested in their city’s history and for tourists likewise.
